Harrop Ferry

Effective July 1st, the Ministry of Transportation & Infrastructure is reducing the passenger capacity of the Harrop ferry from 75 to a maximum of 49 persons. Occasionally, some impact will be felt during the morning school bus run and special events. Motorists traveling on the Harrop ferry are encouraged to plan accordingly. Planning is underway to replace this ferry, which will add capacity.

Western Pacific Marine Ltd. will work with School District 8 regarding these new regulations.

From June 29th – July 8th, 7:00a.m. to 5:00p.m., an additional crew member will be on board the Harrop ferry to inform Harrop Procter residents of the capacity limit.

Western Pacific Marine Ltd. appreciates your patience to assist our ferry operators during this transition.

Thank you,
